Cisco ISE downtime

Hi experts,

I have doubts in deployment of the ISE in production network. I have a clarification to make in that, if I have a primary and secondary ISE (configured with policies with whitelisting) in my production environment, either ISE appliance goes down should not affect the production environment. But my question is what if both ISE (primary and secondary) fails at the same time (which is highly unlikely)? Is there any configuration which I need to make in the switches and devices to fall back to a scenario whereby there is no ISE in the environment and all devices continue to function as normal?

Thank you for reading!

Best Regards,

Marcus Peck

As for 802.1X, you can apply a critical VLAN (which can be the same as access VLAN if you don't specify the VLAN number).
