Hello,
Just wondering if the below design is recommended for an optimal and successful vmotion.
DC-1 DC-2
(n x ESXi)-------(2 x N7k)-----(2 x Firewalls in HA)----------(L3 MPLS Cloud)---------(Firewall)------(N7k)-------(n x ESXi)
Note:
N7k switches are equipped with M1 and F1 cards
N7k switches have OTV tunnels between them

If you can guarantee Layer 2 connectivity between the two N7K then vMotion will work.

Do you think that DPI and IPS functionality on the firewall will cause any issues in the longer run ? Is there a minimum delay we need to ensure for vmotion ? Will there any throughput issues because of the firewall ?

this works in theory, however i strongly recommend you to LAB it in a POC lab as OTV need some JumboMTU in the Path for the encapsulated OTV packets and if the layer 3 path has a FW/IPS not sure if this is going to be an issue or not
