Cisco 3750 Stack Incorrectly incrementing Total output Drops counter on the Output.

 

 

Device  -C3750X-48P Stack

Issue Incorrectly incrementing Total output Drops counter on the Output.

 

I can only find a reference to the following Ios mentioning these are affected.

This is my first attempt at using the Bug search. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Description
Symptom:

Switch stack shows incorrect values for output drops/discards
on show interfaces. For e.g.,

--- show interfaces ---

GigabitEthernet2/0/5 is up, line protocol is up (connected)
Input queue: 0/75/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 4294967163


Conditions:

This is seen on Stackable switches running 12.2(58)SE or later.

Workaround:

None.

Further Problem Description:

The 'show platform port-asic stats drops' shows the correct values.

An example below shows how the snmp ifOutDiscards counters:
$ snmpwalk -c oaklweht 192.168.100.1 ifDescr.10124

Upgrade to 15.0(2)SE or later and you don't have the weird output drops stats anymore.
