It seems that all 7.x releases should have this enhancement.  The release note would also seem to indicate that

 6.0(2)N2(1) has the fix for the Nexus 6000.

Are you experiencing something different?

I am running 7.0(2)N1(1) and have run into the same issue, or at least that's what TAC tells me is the issue. The wording for solution/workaround is extremely confusing!

According to the documentation, this bug should be fixed in all 7.x NX-OS releases.  Perhaps there is a new, different bug?
