Recertification CCNA

Hi,

I had a question about the recertification of CCNA. Do I need only the ICDN 2 or do I need the CCNA examination?

On the CISCO Homepage I found that I only need the ICDN 2 Exam, but other IT-Consults told me that I need the

CCNA Exam.

Hi Hans-Juergen,

Here we go

CCNA Routing and Switching certifications are valid for three years.  To recertify, pass ONE of the following before the certification  expiration date:

  • Pass the current ICND2 exam, or
  • Pass any current Associate-level exam except for ICND1 exam, or
  • Pass any current 642-XXX Professional-level exam, or
  • Pass any current Cisco Specialist exam (excluding Sales  Specialist exams or MeetingPlace Specialist exams, Implementing Cisco  TelePresence Installations (ITI) exams, Cisco Leading Virtual Classroom  Instruction exams, or any 650 online exams), or
  • Pass any current CCIE Written Exam, or
  • Pass the current CCDE Written  Exam OR current CCDE Practical Exam, or
  • Pass the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview AND the CCAr board review to extend lower certifications

Hi,

I just passed the ICDN2 Exam, but I could not connect the Certification overview. And when

I now look to recertification I didn`t see the ICND2 for recertification.

Now I am confussed if I had recertified.
