After the Cisco Unity Express Script Editor is installed on the client PC, unable to access the CCMAdmin page.

Core Issue

The "Cisco CallManager Administration requires that a JAVA Virtual Machine be installed and configured on the local PC. In addition, the browser security must have JAVA enabled." error message appears

During the Cisco Unity Express Script Editor installation, it installs Microsoft VM Virtual Machine and Java 5.0. When the PC restarts, you get the error message when you access the CCMAdmin page on Cisco CallManager.

It is recommended not to have the Cisco Unity Express Script Editor installed on a PC where you want to access the CCMAdmin page.

It seems that the Cisco Unity Express Script Editor needs a different Java version in order to function and it is not compatible with the Cisco CallManager Java Realtime Environment (JRE).

The same error message is also observed when you access Cisco CallManager on some third party browsers, which are not supported.

Refer to the Web Browsers section of Cisco CallManager Administration Guide, Release 4.1(2) for more information.

Resolution

In order to resolve the issue, complete these steps:

  1. Remove the Cisco Unity Express Script Editor.
  2. Reinstall the Cisco CallManager JRE Client.
In order to obtain the JRE for the local PC, go to the C:\utils\JRE directory, copy the J2RE_Client.zip file onto the local PC, unzip the file, and run the executable.
  3. Restart the PC.

Cisco CallManager requires that a JRE be installed and configured on the local PC that browses into Cisco CallManager Administration. In addition, the browser security must have Java enabled.

Refer to the Java Realtime Environment section of Cisco CallManager Administration Guide, Release 4.1(2) for more information.

Try to access the CCMAdmin page now after the JRE installation is complete.
