After the user selects Productivity Services, the IP phone displays the Authentication Required error message

Core Issue

If the domain administrator password changed, verify and change the Cisco IP Phone Productivity Services (PPS) virtual directories.

Resolution

To verify the Cisco IP PPS virtual directories, perform these steps:

  1. On the Cisco IP PPS server, bring up the Internet Services Manager.
  2. Select the Cisco IP Phone Productivity Services server.
  3. Select Default Web Site.
  4. Select Cisco PPS.
  5. Right click to open the Properties window.
  6. Select Directory Security > Anonymous Access > Anonymous user account.
  7. Correct the password. Make sure the username is domain\Administrator.
