After upgrading to Cisco CallManager 3.2(2c), the installation of service pack H fails with the "CALL-MANAGER-1-Client unable to establish connection" error message

After upgrading the Cisco CallManager from 3.1.3a to 3.2.2c, the installation of service pack H fails.

Resolution

The error message indicates that a connection cannot be established. This connection failure could be caused by network connectivity problems or application issues.

In this case, adding the Structured Query Language (SQL) service name to the hosts, as well as adding the LMHOSTS files of the publisher and subscriber resolves the problem.
