cad lost connction with uccx

    Good day! Sometimes CAD loses connection with UCCX and CAD shows message is similar to "search for CTI-device in the network". Especcially, this situation occurs during receving a call with CAD. But it isn't a permanent situation  and it doesn't depend on quantity of calls and load of queue. UCCX can work without any problem for day and more. But this problem can also occur during every call or without a call. I reckon that it's a network problem, but I don't have essential experience for fixing problem. What can I do for work out my problem? I opened a case in Russian community, but fixing of this problem will occupy much time.

Is there a PC-side firewall or IDS installed? These commonly interfere if not configured to allow the correct ports. Likewise, if there is a firewall between the CCX and CUCM servers, ensure that it is allowing CTI control (TCP 2748-2749) among the other required ports.

The correlation with a receive call event is because that's when a flurry of control traffic occurs and something is interfering with that traffic.

Also, if the CCX server is over a WAN/VPN link to the CAD client, are you certain there is not a spike in delay, packet loss, or other generic network degradation when this happens?

Less likely but not impossible is to ensure you're running compatible CUCM and CCX versions.
