Changing the Windows Administrator password for Cisco CallManager

Core Issue

There are some restrictions in changing the Cisco CallManager Admin and the SQLSvc passwords. Changing these passwords affects the database replication within the cluster.

Resolution

If the passwords for the Cisco CallManager Admin and SQLSvc passwords need to be changed, the same passwords must be used in all the servers within the cluster. For more details, refer to Cisco bug ID CSCds35388.

This problem does not arise with the Windows Administrator accounts for Cisco CallManager. The passwords can be changed independently on each Cisco CallManager.

To change the Administrator password, perform the following steps:

  1. Right click My Computer

       
  2. Select Manage

       
  3. Go to Local Users and Groups

       
  4. Go to Users

       
  5. Right click Administrator

       
  6. Select Set Password

       
  7. Type in the password and confirm.
