Core Issue
In this situation, the Cisco Unity server is not synchronizing with the Exchange server, and voice messages are not delivered by Exchange due to permissions problems. Cisco Unity also displays error messages indicating that the partner server is offline or having difficulty with log in. The permission wizard and the registry says the permissions are correct.
Resolution
In the System Manager, remove permissions at the server level by taking off inheritance. Put inheritance back on so permissons are propagated from the top level. To accomplish this, perform these steps:
- Run the permissions wizard.
- Reboot the server. Exchange should be up and running, and messages should move from the Cisco Unity MTA folder.
