Delay in hearing ringback tone on the IP phone while dialing to a PSTN or PBX network due to overlapping route patterns

Core Issue

This issue could be caused by an overlapping route pattern, which can be found using the route plan reports. With overlapping route patterns, the Cisco CallManager searches for more digits, which leads to a delay in call establishment.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, dial a number sign (#) at the end of the dialing string.
