Check the NTP Server Enable field as Yes to enable this machine to be an NTP server while you install the Cisco CallManager 5.x.
In order to verify if the NTP server on the Publisher is now enabled, log in to the platform command-line interface (CLI), and issue the utils ntp config and utils ntp status comma. This last one ideally shows you 127.127.0.1 or the Publisher hostname as the remote ntp server.
In order to check the time on the Publisher, run show status and the second field shows the date. If the IP phones are registered to a Sub, you can configure it to use the Publisher as its NTP server. In the platform Administration GUI, choose Settings > NTP.
