How to identify the last User login in CUCM?

Problem Description

Requirement/ Issue:

How to identify the last User login in Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)?

Solution

Procedure:

1. Identify the User login using CLI of CUCM

Obtain the list of IP address of users who are currently logged in Cisco Unified Communications Manager. The list of ip addresses can be obtained from the hosts file, by issuing command below in the CLI of CUCM:-

Admin: file list activelog tomcat/logs/*

In the output, you will find localhost_access_log<date>.txt text files like below and you can view the user ids and ip addresses in this file.

localhost_access_log2012-12-09.txt

localhost_access_log2012-12-10.txt

localhost_access_log2012-12-11.txt

localhost_access_log2012-12-12.txt

localhost_access_log2012-12-13.txt

You need to look at the latest one among those .txt files.

2. Identify the User login using RTMT tool

You can collect the same from RTMT tool as well:

To collect the logs,

Go to RTMT > trace and log central > collect files > Cisco CallManager > Select all servers

and then collect the localhost_access_log files by selecting "Cisco Tomcat" checkbox and > set the time for the day you want to collect.

Specify the date range for which you want to collect the localhost_access_log file and identify the User login in Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
