How to install Cisco MeetingPlace for Outlook 5.3

Core Issue

Cisco MeetingPlace for Outlook release 5.3 integrates Cisco MeetingPlace with the Microsoft Exchange server. This integration allows users to schedule and attend Cisco MeetingPlace meetings using their Microsoft Outlook client and receive e-mail invitations for meetings they have been invited to. Users can choose to accept an invitation and have the meeting automatically appear in their Outlook calendar or decline the invitation if they cannot attend the meeting.

A full installation of release 5.3 allows users to do these tasks:

  • Receive Outlook calendar invitations for Cisco MeetingPlace meetings, including update notifications for rescheduled meetings.
  • Attend MeetingPlace meetings with a click-to-attend hypertext link in their meeting invitation or Outlook calendar (requires Cisco MeetingPlace      Web Conferencing).
  • Schedule Cisco MeetingPlace meetings using an HTML-based form in their Outlook calendar.

MeetingPlace for Outlook release 5.3 can be installed in these ways:

  • Full integration with the Microsoft Outlook application

  • MeetingPlace for Outlook client services only

  • MeetingPlace for Outlook notification services only
