How to start and stop debug logging in Name Resolution Server (NRS) Call Session Control Platform (CSCP) 3.0

Core Issue

The debug log is needed to resolve issues with NRS

To start and stop debug logging in NRS, perform these steps:

  1. Connect to the NRS through Telnet by issuing the $ telnet localhost 8070 command.

  2. To start debugging, issue the debug debug.txt command. For example, dsnrs-NRS01>debug debug.txt.

  3. To stop debugging, issue the no debug command. For example, /dsnrs-NRS01> no debug.

The output of the debug is located in a new file under NRS install_directory/log/debug.log.

Note: This log file can fill up very quickly, so enable debugging only for a short period of time to avoid performance issues.
