Core Issue
In Cisco CallManager 4.x, when an attempt is made to access the CCMAdmin page, the administrator is constantly prompted for a valid certificate. After it is accepted, the prompt appears again. This only happens when an option is selected. There are no issues on the subscriber, and it is only on the publisher. The issue persists even after the CCMAdmin page is accessed from different workstations.
Resolution
Complete these steps:
- On the publisher, choose the C:ProgramFiles/Cisco/Bin folder.
- Run CertGen.exe and CertInstall.exe.
- After both the executables run, restart the IIS Admin Service from the services tab.
If the issue still exists, complete these steps:
- Choose Internet Explorer > Internet Options > Advanced.
- Scroll down to Java(Sun), and uncheck JRE.
- Close all Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) instances, and relaunch it.
- After this try to reinstall the certificate.
In order to install the certificate, complete these steps:
- Clear the cache and logon to the CCMAdmin page.
- On the Security Alert Warning, click View Certificate.
- In the next window, click Install Certificate.
If the certificate warning still appears, complete these steps:
- Choose Directory Security > Edit Certificates > Secure Communication.
- Choose the Ignore Client Certificates option, and then reset IIS.
Refer to Security Overview for more information related to Certificates.
