In Cisco CallManager 4.x, during the voice conversation when the call is put on hold, the IP phone intermittently experiences delayed audio, followed by the Your call cannot be completed as dialed annunciator error message.

Core Issue

This problem occurs because the annunciator is barging in on user conversations and preventing the IP phone user from hearing the external party. This is documented in Cisco bug ID: CSCeg10450.
