Not able to access the System Administration web page when an integration is created between Mitel PBX and Unity Unified Messaging. The "HTTP 500: Internal Server Error - ASP error" error message appears

Core Issue

In Cisco Unity 4.0(5), when you create the Mitel PBX integration with Unified Messaging, the System Administration web page no longer works correctly. Also you get security and event log failures. Once you delete the Mitel integration, the System Administration web page works fine, and no event log or security errors occur.


In order to resolve the issue, you need to re-integrate (Mitel PBX with Unified messaging) and then do these steps in order to fix the SAweb issue:

  1. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Active Voice\Commserver Setup\1.0\Private]
  2. Choose the HKLM/software/active voice/commserver setup/1.0/private registry branch.
  3. Choose the Registry menu and choose Export Registry File....
  4. Choose a destination directory and filename such Load_after_MSCW.rgs.
  5. Ensure the Export Range is specified by the Selected Branch radio button and click Save.
  6. Right-click on the HKLM/software/active voice/commserversetup/1.0/private registry key and choose Delete.
  7. Run the Message Store Config Wizard through the...\CommServer\ConfigurationSetup\Setup.exe. Do not change any of the values displayed in the wizard. The password for the Cisco Unity Installation and Directory Services accounts are required in the process to run this wizard.
  8. After the Wizard is complete, open Microsoft Windows Explorer to the directory of the registry file saved in step 5.
  9. Double-click on the .rgs file saved from step 5.
  10. Verify SA access to the Subscribers page now functions as expected.
  11. Reboot and box and verify again.

This has to be done during a maintenance window as the Message Store Configuration Wizard restarts your Cisco Unity services as one of its steps.
