Core Issue
The Cisco CallManager publisher server regularly generates the "(DSA REPLICATION(18) Proc 1021, Sev 14) We have abandoned an outstanding primitive on the shadowing agreement defined below, as our association to the partner DSA has been lost" Event Viewer error message for the DC Directory Server service
In this case, the Cisco CallManager cluster is newly installed, and the subscriber server was reinstalled due to incorrect server naming.
This is the Event Viewer error message displayed:
(DSA REPLICATION(18) Proc 1021, Sev 14)
We have abandoned an outstanding primitive on the shadowing agreement defined below, as our association to the partner DSA has been lost.
agreement id 0

Resolution
This condition occurs because the DC Directory does not recognize that an old server in the cluster does not exist. The DC Directory replication still attempts to contact and deliver to the old server.
In order to correct this problem, issue the reconfig_cluster command on the Cisco CallManager publisher to remove the old replication agreements.
Refer to Fixing Problems with DC Directory for further details.
