The IP address configuration for the Cisco Unified Presence server is lost when an attempt is made to change it from the OS Platform Administration webpage

Core Issue

When the Cisco Unified CallManager server is integrated with the Cisco Unified Presence (CUP) server, it is not possible to change the IP address of the CUP server in order to integrate it with the Cisco CallManager server.


The CUP server does not support IP address changes after installation, and this issue is documented in Cisco bug ID CSCsi31118.

In order to workaround the issue, manually edit the network interface configuration through a privileged remote access account.

In order to have the privileged remote access account password decrypted, open a case with Cisco Technical Support with the TAC Service Request Tool.
