The user is unable to run the OS upgrade on a Cisco CallManager server and receives the Unable to execute the specified command line error message
The installation process starts and it unpacks the necessary files, but then generates the error message.
To resolve this issue, check the services to see if the Cisco Security Agent (CSA) service is running. If so, stop it from the services control console and re-run the upgrade.
To access the services control console, go to Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services. With the proper permissions, you can start, stop, pause, resume, or disable a service from this management console.
Note: Even if CSA does not have the red flag in the system tray, do not assume that it is not running. Check under the services control console by going to Start > Programs > Administrative Tools > Services.
While running a Cisco CallManager OS upgrade, do not use the upgrade through the terminal services. If you have installed intrusion prevention (CSA) or anti-virus protection software, you must stop and disable these applications from the services control console before you continue.
If this does not work, rebooting the Service Processing Element (SPE) may help.
