While Cisco CallManager 4.x is upgraded to Cisco CallManager 5.x, the Data Migration Assistant fails with the ErrorCode=-530" error message

Core Issue

When Cisco CallManager is upgraded from version 4.x to version 5.x, the upgrade fails and installdbw1.log shows that the Data Migration Assistant (DMA) backup verification failed along with this error in the C:\Program Files\Cisco\Trace\DBL\installdbw1.log.err:

The error number is [-530]
ERROR MESSAGE IS -530 Check constraint constraint-name failed.

In order to resolve this issue, complete these steps for the workaround:

  1. Choose Start > Programs > Microsoft SQL Server > Enterprise Manager > Database > CCM0XXX > Tables.

  2. Locate and right-click on LineGroup and choose Open Table > Return all rows.

  3. Check the second field named rnaReversionTimeout.

    It is possible that this is the problem because this is set to 180 and it should be between zero and 120. If it is 180, set to 120. You need to click !, the exclamation mark in the tool bar, in order to run to save the value.

  4. Close the Microsoft SQL Enterprise Manager and run the DMA again.
