This error message is the result of a change in Cisco CallManager 4.0 and later versions. With Cisco CallManager 4.0 and later, Microsoft SQL2K is configured to only use Windows authentication.
Resolution
To resolve this problem, create a user account that matches the user ID and password on the Cisco CallManager server. Ideally, this change makes a connection is possible.
