With Cisco CallManager version 3.3.3 sr3 and AC 1.2(1)ES7, transfer to voicemail fails if the destination phone's voice mail profile is set to None

Core Issue

Failure occurs if the destination phone's voice mail profile is set to None under its line configuration.

This configuration takes the default system voice mail profile, but the transfer to voice mail feature fails from the AC client application. However, manual transfer to voice mail using the hardware phone works fine.

Resolution

For information on this problem, refer to Cisco bug ID CSCed71318. The fix for this issue is available in Cisco CallManager version 3.3.4 SR1.

For a workaround, use the Bulk Administration Tool (BAT) to add a voice mail profile to all phone lines in the system.
