With Cisco Emergency Responder, the onsite alert personnel do not get email or email-based pages, even though they have configured email addresses

Core Issue

Email configuration issues are normally the cause of this kind of problem.

Resolution

Check the Cisco Emergency Responder (Cisco ER) configurations Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) settings.

For more information, refer to the Onsite Alert Settings section of the Emergency Responder Administration Page Reference guide.

Ensure that the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server address and source mail identification are correct.

For more information, refer to the CER Group Settings section of the Emergency Responder Administration Page Reference guide. Also, make sure there is an account for the mail ID in the SMTP server.
