Can I install Windows 2008 R2 on the 16 GB SD Card modules of a UCS C240 server?
In other words are the SD card modules a viable boot device?
I am going to install Symantec NetBackup 7.6.1 as a Media server and use the 48TB of local storage as my Disc Storage Units. I will be building 2 of the C240's in this manner and I would hate to burn 2 disc's just for the OS.
Or I can just build one large RAID 5 and create a 60GB partition for the OS and the remainder can be partitioned for the disk storage units in the OS.
