Hi all,
We have a project of connecting 2 Siemens Hi-Path PBX and we would like to use Cube to create a Sip trunk between our two location.
I found a document on cisco website with a design (please see attachment), and I'm wondering if the use of 1 Voice Gateway AND 1 Cube for each site was mandatory.
I mean, can Cube play the role of Voice Gateway AND Cube ? This is to limit cost of hardware.
So we would purchase two 2900series instead of four.
Thanks for your answer.
Regards
Fabian

Hi giordano,
you don't need the two CUBE for connect the PBX, you only need the two Voice Gateway.
the first VG will have a dial-peer pots toward the PBX and a dial-peer voip (H323 or SIP is up to you) toward the second VG, the same configuration is needed on the second VG.
