New VCSc and VCSe install public call routing help needed

I am working on my first VCS deployment.  I have followed the deployment guides and am having issues with calls coming in from the public internet.  I want to route publid internet calls in to an extension on a CUCM server.

The call fails and when looking at the Search History, it appears the calls is being classified in the Default zone and not the Traversal zone.

Can anyone provide any suggestions or additional configuration on what may be missing?

Here is the output from the Call Search:

New VCSc and VCSe install public call routing help needed

Thank you for the screenshots.  I was able to apply your method and have success with inbound calling.

Do you also place outbound calls using the VCS?  I can from endpoints registered to the VCSc, but any calls from CUCM fail.  I have created search rules to use the DNS zone, but the calls still fail.  Do you ahve a similar configuration for outbound calling?

Also, do you use the same domain on CUCM as you do on the VCS?

HI,

Yes I make use of a transform rule to take any say e164 number with a domain behind it and send it to the cucm which has transformation patterns or translation patterns on it to push the call via the pstn.

See attached.

New VCSc and VCSe install public call routing help needed

I was able to place outgoing calls from my endpoint to other video enabled endpoints, but I am having issues with the calling id presentation on the other side.  Here is my setup:

EX90 --  CUCM -- VCSc -- VCSe -- Remote Video Endpoint

I needed to create a CPL script on the VCSc to rewrite the calling alias of the call.  However, there doesn't seem to be the right elements in the CPL script to change the calling id .  When I make an outbound call, the calling id displays:

"jesse  jesse@lightspeedtech.net"

and I am using this in my CPL file to translate my extension@:

jesse@lightspeedtech.net">

I would prefer the calling id on the remote side to display my full name and the alias.  does anyone have any insight how I can make this work?

Thanks

Jesse
