Any Ideas why JTAPIGW goes Active on PG1b ?

Hello all !! Hope everyone is well !!!

I have a duplex IPCC 6.0 environment with side A and side B connecting via 45MB MPLS QoS enabled WAN. And recently I am seeing an issue with JTAPIGW process, for some reason it goes active on PG1b and when it happens all agents get kicked out of CAD momentarily but able to log back in, and according to the agents, the call-type and reporting also disappear when this happens.

Can someone explain what JTAPIGW process does ?

Why it fails over to PG1b suddenly ?

Is it normal that agents are getting kicked out of CAD ? and reporting and call-type are disappeared ? when the issue happens.

Thank you so much in advance !!!

Danny

it might be useful to post your jtgw log.

when there's a failover, yes it's normal for agents to get kicked out and the call data be cleared out, but it should reappear once the failover process is complete.

jtapi gateway and pim are used to communication with your ucm, it manages the connection and protocol.

check the SRND for more detail information on this process.
