Assistance with setting up a General Mailbox

I need assistance in setting up a General Mailbox that is not tied to any phone.

The portion of the below steps that I need help with are what do I need to do in CallManager so that I can directly dial the extension "1234" without having it tied to a real phone or dummy phone.

1.       Create a totally new voice mailbox on Unity that becomes the new General Mailbox for the business.

2.       Set the mailbox up so that it can be dialed directly (this may require configuration in CallManager and Unity)

a.       If the new mailbox is “1234”, then you should be able to pick up a Cisco phone, and dial “1234” and hear the greeting for this mailbox.  In other words, you should be able to dial directly into it.

In the end this will be tied to the auto attendant.

create mailbox, 1234 in unity

create DN 1234 in callmanager

under dn field callforward all to unity pilot

should be good 2 go.
