hello,
Am i on the right track, in the enclosed snapshot on my night menu, is it possible, with a menu, to have callers just dial the extension?? i some with extension xfer, some use redirect. but i am not sure in the menu where this should go? thought i had it right but it is not funtioning.. any thoughts would be appreciated.

You need to use the succesful branch of the get digit string step, there you use a call redirect to the extXfer.

I have that. what different, and maybe cant be done?, is they want the greeting to have 1st option, "report a claim press one" then be able to dial an extension if you know it...i just cant see how you can have a single digit and then dial an extension, and we use just about every starting digit in our ext range..

You can use the timeout branch of the get digit string for that, there you can drag a switch step to do the options part.
