Build a IPCC lab to learn

have a friend who likes to build a small lab to learn on IPCC express etc all HW and SW.

I would appreciate any help in finding the BOM and approximate cost, how to get it etc.

New or used - what ever gets him the tools to learn CM, IPCC etc.

Thanks in advance.

Baseer.

Re: Build a IPCC lab to learn

Hi Baseer,

If you have the softwares (CCM and IPCC), you can install everything on VMWares. That is the best solution for a lab I think.

Re: Build a IPCC lab to learn

I would appreciate some document or some thing that can tell me how to etc or what I need.

Re: Build a IPCC lab to learn

I think there is an old Cisco document from the 5.0 days which explains how to build a lab. Google for it and if you don't find it I can check my backups to see if I have it somewhere.

Re: Build a IPCC lab to learn

Hi Baseer,

Here is a link for the CM 6 version install under VM:

For IPCCX, it is pretty straight forward. You only have to modify your VM HW config such as allocating more RAM and so on. Just go through it and raise your questions if needed. I will try to help you.

Re: Build a IPCC lab to learn

Hi Ranjan,

UCCX 5.0 can not be downloaded and must be ordered at Cisco. If you want to use it for demo purposes, you can buy it for around 100 euros if you are a Cisco partner and if I am not mistaking.

There is no evaluation version though.

Chawki
