Does anyone know if it is possible to pass the caller ID name information from the telco through call manager 7.0 to the CAD? the caller ID number shows up fine but the caller ID name is listed as unknown and I was wondering if anyone has gotten this to work or if it is even possible. The call manager Ver is 7.0 SR1 and the UCCX is 7.0SR1 thanks
When you run debug isdn q931 on the gateway, where is the Telco putting the name. We ran into an issue with Verizon where they were putting the name into a data extension that CUCM was not looking at. I'm not a CUCM expert so cannot recall the details exactly.
As to your answer, it has to first come from the CTI Manager on CUCM through the JTAPI interface. Is "name" part of the JTAPI spec? I don't know.
Others have asked for this. It's slightly annoying to look over at an IP phone and see name and number, and yet not see this in CAD/CTIOS (I know I'm talking Enterprise, but there are similarities).
