Can Cisco Supervisor Desktop answer calls?

Hello,

In my scenario, Supervisors may need to answer calls during busy periods. I don't think the Cisco Supervisor Desktop offers this ability. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Would I have to install the Agent Desktop and Supervisor Desktop on the same machine to accomplish this?

Yes. The CSD Can answer calls. First, CAD Cisco Agent Desktop will need to be started before starting up CSD. The CAD does call control. So, if the supervisor is part of the CSQ, then the calls should come to CAD. As part of the CSD install, CAD should also be installed.
