CCX DB ProfileIDMapping purpose ?

In ccx 8.5 a table with a ProfileIDMapping with only 1 value "Default" 1 exist, and refer to many tables'

It's state on the documentation that "when a new profile is set up in the Unified CCX Administration" Where ? and to which profile it's referring any idea ?

The Unified CCX system creates a new record in the ProfileIDMapping table when a new profile is set up in the Unified CCX Administration.

A ProfileIDMapping record shows the mapping of the profile name to its unique identifier.

Back in 4.x you would see references to profiles when doing certain tasks... I think it's a throwback to the olden days when the deployment model was more flexible.

I think it's still in the DB as removing it would be a change that would break any queries that happen to refer to that field.
