I am tryhing to get more information about theUnified CCX Agent e-mail, I am talking about the mail into the CAD.
We have CCX 8.5 and I was wondering... I know it's possible to integrate that with Exchange but is it possible to get e-mail from google or other places ?
What are the specification and limitation for that !?
Any one knows ?
thanks,

Philippe,
You can find it on around page 29 of this document:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_8_5/installation/guide/cad85ccxig-cm.pdf
Essentially the only supported configuration is with Exchange, as best as I
can tell it requires features of exchange to function so I really doubt it
will work with any other solution.
If you try to use something other than Exchange you'll almost certainly run
into issues and TAC will not support you. If you do give it a go anyway and
manage to get it working I'm sure we'd all love to hear your feedback!
Thanks,

Hi Philippe,
Unfortunately Agent E-Mail is only supported with Microsoft Exchange 2003,
2007 and 2010 are supported.

Hi Tanner,
thanks for the response..
do you have any idea where we can find that information on the Cisco doc.
Also, do you know if we can get e-mail with let's say IMAPv4 straight to an outside provider without Exchange ?
thanks

OK thanks for the info, by the way it seems to support 2003, 2007 and 2010.. not only 2003
check this out :
This section describes how to configure Microsoft (MS) Exchange so that it supports Agent E-Mail.
CAD supports MS Exchange 2003, MS Exchange 2007, and MS Exchange 2010.

I stated 2003, 2007 and 2010 in my initial response:
"Unfortunately Agent E-Mail is only supported with Microsoft Exchange
2003, 2007
and 2010 are supported."

Hi, I'm just wondering if there is an update to this (I say May 2012 was the latest). Is agent email still only supported with Exchange? What about hosted exchange like office 365? Thanks

Hi Jan,
No, Agent E-Mail is not supported on office 365. The prior theaded respnose is still correct,

tom
