CCX V7 - Converting Prompts to G729

Hi,

Can someone remind me how I can convert a recorded prompt into one

that will play on CCX V7.

It's been a long time. In the past on earlier versions I know there was a directory

that the wav file could be dropped into and this would covert the file.

On version 7 I seemed to remember just being able to upload via the prompt

manager and this would convert the file is to a playable format - but it doesn't

seem to be working. The file is not being converted to the G729 format.

Any help Gratefully received.

Regards

Dominic

Hi,

make sure the voice translator service is running on CUCM.

Voice translator service on CUCM is only available in windows based CUCM, so version 4.3 and below. If you have something newer then you will need to use 3rd party tool to do that, you can google for it as there are few different ones, you will most likely need to change the hex value of the header.

If you have an old Windows based Unity system then look for a file called sl_g729a_setup.exe

This provides g729 support for Windows and allows you to save files in that format using a program such as NCH Switch Sound File Converter
