Cisco 3845 ISR and VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1 module

Hi

We are planning to use Cisco 3845 ISR with ISDN PRI E1, using the VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E module.

We currently have the IOS 3800 Software (C3845-ADVENTERPRISEK9-M), Version 12.4(11)XJ4, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)( c3845-adventerprisek9-mz.124-11.XJ4.bin ) loaded on the 3845 router.

Is the VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1 module compatible with the IOS currently loaded on Cisco 3845 or do I need to changet the IOS?

Thanks in Advance.

The normal way to be really sure is to use the Dynamic Configurator at Cisco and try to build a router with the bits and bobs you need. If you are missing something, it will bitch and moan.

Really, the VWIC depends on the chassis, and the VWIC2 certainly works on a 3845. Nice big router - only one E1 eh? That's a bit of overkill - why did you want the 3845?

Now this is the Contact Center forum, so I'm wondering if this is a CVP question. Or maybe you are lost. ;-)

Regards,

Geoff
