Cisco CVP 4.0.2 - Data Feed Logger

We have a Cisco Unified CVP 4.0.2 standalone deployment model with reporting enabled on IBM Websphere Application Server 6.1.

We observe the following CVP Datafeed logger error exceptions are written to Websphere logs -

C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\logs\server1\SystemOut_07.11.30_07.32.32.log

ERROR (ServiceabilityManager.java:757) - DatafeedMgr.handleActEvent() e=java.lang.ClassCastException: java.util.HashMap incompatible with java.lang.String

Please let me know how to make this appear only in CVP error logs rather than at the Websphere logs and help me to resolve this issue.

Re: Cisco CVP 4.0.2 - Data Feed Logger

Seth,

You can start with one of the following….

Load the Project into CVP Studio…

General Setting Page

Project Page

Logger section (add, Edit, Remove)

Edit (pick CVPDatafeedLog, from one of the (5) standard loggers)

check for plugins etc

AND/OR

Java class (JAR) specifying this standard logger “CVPDatafeedLog” should be made available to the specific CVP application in use. As such the location of the java class

for this logger can be changed to (sample application name used here…”HelloWorld”)

C:\Cisco\CVP\AppServer\applications\HelloWorld\java\application\classes

You could try to use the Admin scripts in the Admin folder e.g updateApp.bat or updateApp.sh (as needed with your system) to fix/update the java classes.
