Has anyone had any experience integration the Cisco E-Mail Manager Option with Microsoft Exchange? We are planning a new contact center install and I am curious how this would work with existing production e-mail.
the Email manager option will not integrate directly with exchange.
instead it uses a built in feature to interact with your companies mail system.
excerpt from CCO document:
the feature used is called 'MailWrap'. this feature forwards messages to an external email address. from the external email address a user can access the messages with another email client.
there are a few more pieces to it but basically the Email manager recognizes the agent replies due to a special Email manager header in the data packet. (this way the message appears to have come from Email manager)
