Hello.
Is it possible to use and external MySQL 4/5 database with Cisco Unified Contact Center 8.X?
Thanks for your answers and regards.

UCCX 8 supports JDBC connection to other databases.
Read from page 441
So, you will need JDBC driver and figure out the JDBC URL to the external database. You best friend in this regard is DBVisualizer (http://www.dbvis.com/) or similar product. You can google it.

Hello Raziel,
You said it's not supported, but did you test it in real?
Thanks for your feedback.

Yorick,
unfortunately, there isn't the support for a JDBC driver for MySQL, so it's impossible to configure the related section on CUCCX (the drop-down menu doesn't include, for example, a driver such as mysql.jar).
Regards.

Thank you for your feedback on this.
Not very happy to hear it's not supported ... It was working in UCCX 5.0 and 7.0, Cisco could include a generic JDBC connector capability, even without support on each particular driver. I hope it will be in the next releases.
Again, thx!
Yorick
