I am adding Active Directory information (AD servers IP addresses - port 389 - manager distnguished name - manager password) to the Reporting Configuration in the CUIC OAMP interface. I have entered the info correctly.
For this Call Center, a new OU (Organizational Unit) was created where the "icmuser" has full access. This OU is part of the corportate Active Directory.
So "icmuser" has full access only to the Call Center's OU and has no access to the rest of the Active Directory.
If I use "icmuser" in the Reporting Configuration, the connection fails with error message: << Could not connect to the Primary Active Directory Server - Authentication Failed >>
If I use the Administrator username and password, the connection is successful. The customer is concerned about the usage of the Administrator username and prefers another workaround.
