Custom pop w/ CTI OS Agent Desktop?

We may be using the CTI OS Agent Desktop (ver 7.1.1) in the near future.

I know the CAD softphone has some screen pop customization features in it,

but I can't find any info on how to do a pop from the CTI OS Agent Desktop phone.

(pop=pass call data to custom written app or maybe a web page.)

Is the source code for the CTI OS Agent Desktop included in the toolbox,

or somewhere else, so I can modify it and rebuild it to do the pop?

I can handle writing & modifying code, but I don't want to build a

whole softphone from scratch just to do a screen pop.

I thought about writing a custom app that uses the CTI OS toolbox,

which opens a session in monitor mode in order to get the call data,

but I'm concerned that two connections from every desktop to our

CTI OS server could have performance and scalability impacts.

(Also, there's some scary warnings in the doc not to use too many

monitor mode connections.)

I'm sure someone has had to deal with this situation in the past.

Any advice on what will work best would be greatly appreciated.

I think that you can not change the GUI and the behaviour of CAD. You can use Windows macros to pop up data from IPCCEnterprise to an external application, but if you need a custom integration in a CRM application or a custom development for a customer you should use CTIOS Toolkit.
