CVP : GK Round Robin calls to CVP

Calls come into the GW with DN 1111, hits the session target ras dial-peer, and the GK points the calls to the two cvp's I have as follows:

zone prefix AE_DXB_A 111* gw-priority 10 cvp1a cvp1b

cvp1a * cvp1b being the H323 ids of my call servers.

The issue is that arnd 9 out of my 10 calls goes into the cvp1b - I do not know why.

Does the above config looks fine?

What will happen if I change the above config to two lines as:

zone prefix AE_DXB_A 1* cvp1a

zone prefix AE_DXB_A 1* cvp1b

Re: CVP : GK Round Robin calls to CVP

The selection of your CVP servers is driven by the GW confiuration, the following lines control it:

ip host isn-vxml x.x.x.x

ip host isn-vxml-backup y.y.y.y

Simply change the order of these IPs on half of your GWs.

Re: CVP : GK Round Robin calls to CVP

I checked a couple of posts by kartik.bhatia@wipro.com and I'm pretty sure he is using CVP 4.0.1 Sr1.

The expressions above in the host table of the router do not come into play in CVP versions past 3.1. A new method was introduced to send the VXML request back to the Call Server that holds the switch leg.

Regards,

Geoff
