CVP Record Element and gateway http cache

Hi,

I have done a CVP Script where I use the Record Element to same filename

All seem ok, but I have detected the problem with the http cache on the gateway.

If I record a new message the gateway has cached the old one. I know that I can reload the prompt in the gateway, to mark like old (stole). But I want that the user will be independent and they don't need to call IT department for reload the recorded file.

is there some way for reload the new recorded audio file from the CVP script? thanks

Regards,

Hi,

There is no direct element that can do this, but this can be achieved using ,multiple ways:

1.ftp your wav file in separate directory, and configure your IIS server to tell VXML gateway to not to cache the wav file. this are the straight forward setting for your media server.(we are doing this for Agent greetings)

2. write some CUSTOM CVP element, which opens telnet connection to VG and marks the audio prompt stale, or reloads prompt in Voice Gateway.

what about record and confirm? i think when you use record and confirm voice gateway reloads the fresh recording file. is it not working.?

also you can ask this kind of question in Contact center space, so you will get early response.

Chintan

Hi Chintan,

Thanks for your answer.

Finally, I did the first option but I configured the IIS for not cache only the file recorded (always it has the same name).

Will I investigate the Record & Confirm? thanks again.

Regards
