Disable ASR mid-way in IVR Script

Does anyone know if there is a way to disable ASR on UCCX 5/7 either by overriding the Media Termination settings or by configuring a variable of sorts in a script? I am looking to implement a redundancy mechanism is ASR input is failing due to bad voice connection to revert to DTMF only input. While the prompts can be changed easily on the fly the ASR is still running in the back end and can still cause issues.

Any feedback is appreciated.
