Domain Controller IP change

Hi,

Is it advisable to change the IP address of the domain controller without changing the domain name in an ICM 7.1 setup. Currently it is in production.

Re: Domain Controller IP change

That could be interesting. It's really a Microsoft question.

I assume you have a pair of domain controllers. One possibility would be to demote the machine in question (if it holds ay FSMO roles, move those to the other DC first), change the IP address and ensure DNS reflects this, then promote to a DC again.

Regards,

Geoff
