Duplexed Router. RouterB crash.

Good day.

I try to install IPCC Enterprice 7.0 and faced with the following problem.

LoggerA and RouterA been installed on Rogger1 and LoggerB and RouterB been installed on Rogger2.

LoggerA and LoggerB databases have been created.

The problem is:

If RouterA is out of service (I stop the service or Rogger1 is out of network) then RouterB service restarts and after restart it does not work.

I tried to:

synchronize Logger SideA and Side B databases

recreate both databases

ICM7.0.0_SR4 was installed and it did not help.

full reinstall did not help.

Servers that are used:

MCS-7835-H1

Switch:

Catalyst 3750 48 10/100 PoE + 4 SFP Standard Image

OS:

MS Windows 2003 Server SP1 Standart Edition

MS SQL 2000 SP4 Standart Edition.

Could you give an advance of problem solution?

Thank you.

Can you give more detail on how router B doesn't work?

Normally you shall start first logger, then first router, second router, second logger. You should also need to check IP connectivity and host name resolution for all nodes.

Hi,

Try to check in the Logger set up if you have selected 'duplexed' and check the Rogger ip addresses in the set up.

Try to provide more information regarding your installation.

Hope this helps,

Do you have any PG's configured? RouterB needs to see majority of PG's if it cannot contact RouterA.

If this is a lab configure a dummy pg (no need to enable PIM) on your Roggers and you should be fine.

post up the logger B dumplog, that will help us.

Also try to ping both private and public connections using both the ip address and the hostname.
