When agent logs into IP Communicator the and tries to change the state to ready. He receives this error. Can some one tell me what's going on.

From the agent pc, can you ping the hostname? Or IP address? Your IP communicator is trying to connect with UCM - if the hostname or IP address isn't configured correctly on your communicator you'll get that error.
